Let’s Get Gardening: February 2017

Our mailman, Mike, delivered our first shipment of seeds a few days ago (from Ann Arbor Seed Company), and I was so excited! I told him that meant it was almost spring. He said he had to beg to differ. But even though it doesn’t feel like spring to Mike as he walks his route these days, or to me if truth be told, it really is coming. Tomorrow is the halfway point between winter and spring, and after that, spring will be here before we know it – so I’d better finish up my garden planning soon.

  • Grow something new this year
  • If you are growing rosemary or perennials- start now

Yard & Garden

  • Using dormant oils on trees to control a variety of insects
