Let’s get gardening! October 2015

lets-get-gardening-oct15

Wow – I have to say, this was a great year for my vegetable garden! I had way more zucchini than we could possibly use, we’ll be eating green beans all winter long from the freezer, my sweet peppers didn’t produce well, but we have lots of hot peppers, the garlic did beautifully this year, we have lots of onions, and I can’t remember when I last had so many tomatoes – some of which are being chopped up with the garlic, hot peppers, and onions for some yummy salsa, while many more have been turned into sauces or simply chopped and frozen for future use. Even the marigolds I grow just outside of my veggie garden went wild this year – and the bumblebees are loving them right now! I hope you had as much success with your garden this year – but the gardening season isn’t entirely over yet. There is still lots to do!
